Part 1 · Welcome
Welcome aboard. This is where patience turns into long-term growth.
MV/Investment is the heart of MV/Capital. It is built for members who want to learn to invest and grow their capital over months and years — step by step, with the tools the MV team uses every day.
Everything here revolves around two tools, both created by the MV team:
LGI
Our long-term investing system. Every day it publishes a book: which assets to hold, and how much of each.
Trend
A tool that gives the likely direction of Bitcoin for the coming days, based on probabilities.
The lessons that follow walk you through everything, in order: first the app, then the basics, then how to set up your account, and finally how to use LGI and Trend step by step.
Take your time. There is no rush, and no lesson is too basic — every step builds on the one before.

How MV/Investment works
Max and the whole admin team welcome you to MV/Investment.
One product, three ways to use it.
Before diving into the details, here is the full picture. MV/Investment can be followed in three independent ways:
1 · LGI Spot
You start once you have $10,000. You split it across the assets in the daily book (for example 33% SOL, 20% BTC, 20% Tesla…) and you simply own them. This is the heart of MV/Investment.
2 · LGI Leverage
Instead of buying, you open a leveraged position (maximum x3) each time a new position appears in the book. The goal: grow your capital, then move the profits into your Spot portfolio.
3 · Trend
When Trend announces a positive direction for BTC, you can open a long. When it announces a negative one, a short (maximum x10). You wait for the result, then close.
You can use one, two or all three. Each one gets its own set of lessons later, so you never have to learn everything at once.
Remember
MV/Investment is educational. LGI and Trend are tools, not guarantees — every decision, and every risk, remains yours.

The Analytics tab
Your personal logbook of gains and losses.
Analytics is where you record the result of each position you close — whether it's a gain or a loss.
- Type the amount in dollars in the input bar: 250 for a gain, -80 for a loss.
- Press Enter or the arrow button.
- To log several results at once, separate them with spaces: 120 -40 65.
Analytics then shows you your total, your number of entries, your best result, and how many trades were winners and losers — with your win rate.
The chart
Your cumulative result over time: green above $0, red below. Move your mouse (or finger) over it to see each trade and your total at that moment.
Your Analytics total also feeds your position in the Ranking.

The LGI tab
The daily book — the heart of MV/Investment.
The LGI tab shows the Daily Book, published every day. Here's how to read each part:
Today's allocation
The assets to hold today and the percentage of your capital for each one. The percentages always add up to 100%.
Yesterday's allocation
The previous day's book. Comparing both tells you what changed: a new asset, one that left, or weights that moved.
Standings
The top assets ranked by LGI. Held means the asset is in the book. Qualifies means it passes the filters but isn't held yet. The arrows show whether it moved up ▲ or down ▼ since yesterday.
You'll learn to use the book step by step in Part 4 (Spot) and Part 5 (Leverage).
Remember
LGI can be wrong. The book is a starting point, not financial advice.
Coming up next
The Trend tab
The likely direction of Bitcoin for the coming days.
Trend analyses Bitcoin with several technical indicators and announces when the trend changes — from negative to positive, or the other way around.
Alert
The title tells you the new direction, for example “BTC · New positive trend detected”, with its date.
Consensus
How many indicators agree (for example 6 ▲ · 0 ▼) and how strong the trend is.
Indicator detail
Each indicator and what it currently says. You don't need to understand them all — the consensus sums them up.
Trend only fires when the direction changes, so there can be several days (or weeks) between two alerts. That's normal.
Remember
Trend works with probabilities, not certainties. It can be wrong.

Getting help: the Discord server
You're never alone with a question.
A Discord server is available to all members. It's the place for every practical question you'll meet along the way, especially:
Moving money
Bridging funds from one network to another, sending funds to your account, choosing the right network.
Platforms
Questions about Hyperliquid, deposits, withdrawals, or a screen that doesn't look like the lessons.
The program
Questions about the book, a Trend alert, or how to apply a lesson.
Golden rule: if you're not sure, ask before you send. A question takes one minute; a mistake with funds can't always be undone.
Security
The team will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key. Anyone who does is a scammer.

Spot vs leverage
Part 2 · The basics
The two ways to be in the market.
Spot
You buy the asset and you own it. If it goes up 20%, you gain 20%. If it goes down 20%, you lose 20% — but you can't lose more than what you put in, and you can wait.
Leverage
You borrow to take a bigger position than your capital. At x3, a 10% move becomes a 30% gain… or a 30% loss. If the price moves too far against you, the position is closed automatically: that's liquidation.
LGI Spot uses spot only. LGI Leverage and Trend use leverage. That's why they come later, once the basics are solid.
Coming up next
What long-term investing means
Thinking in months and years, not minutes.
Long-term investing means holding strong assets through the ups and downs of the market, instead of reacting to every candle.
Patience
Markets move in cycles. Drops are part of the journey — they don't mean the plan is broken.
Compounding
Gains that stay invested grow on top of previous gains. Time does most of the work.
Discipline
Following the same method every day beats trying to guess the market.
This is exactly what LGI is built for: one clear book, every day, so you don't have to guess.
Coming up next
Understanding allocation & percentages
A little math you'll use every day.
The book gives percentages. To know how many dollars that means, multiply your capital by the percentage:
Formula
Amount = Capital × Percentage ÷ 100
Example with $10,000
33% → 10,000 × 33 ÷ 100 = $3,300
20% → $2,000
12.5% → $1,250
Always check that your amounts add up to your total capital. If they do, your allocation is right.
Before thinking about gains, think about protection.
Only what you can afford
Never invest money you need for rent, bills or emergencies. Markets can drop, and you should never be forced to sell.
Never borrow to invest
Leverage on a platform is already borrowing. Don't add loans on top of it.
Small first
Every new step — a platform, a transfer, a first leverage trade — starts with a small amount.
Protecting your capital is what lets you stay in the game long enough for the method to work.
Coming up next
Choosing your platform: why Hyperliquid
Part 3 · Setting up your account
One place for spot and leverage, with low fees.
To follow MV/Investment you need a platform. We recommend Hyperliquid.
Low fees
Fees are low. When you trade regularly, fees add up — lower fees means more of your gains stay with you.
Everything in one place
Spot and leverage (called perps) are available on the same platform.
Every LGI asset
LGI works perfectly with Hyperliquid: every asset in the book — crypto and stocks — is available there.
Your wallet, your funds
You connect your own wallet. There is no traditional account to open.
Need help?
Bridging, sending funds, choosing a network — if anything is unclear, ask in the
MV Discord server before you click (
join here). The team and members are there to help.
Coming up next
Preparing your wallet
The key to your account.
Hyperliquid works with a crypto wallet that you control, such as Rabby or MetaMask (browser extension or mobile app).
- Install the wallet from its official website only.
- Create a new wallet and write your recovery phrase on paper.
- Store that paper somewhere safe and private — never in a photo, a note app or an email.
- Check that you can open your wallet with its password.
Never share
Your recovery phrase gives full access to your funds. No one — not even the MV team — will ever ask for it.
Coming up next
Connecting to Hyperliquid
Your wallet becomes your account.
- Go to Hyperliquid's official website (check the address carefully — fake copies exist).
- Click Connect and choose your wallet.
- Approve the connection in your wallet.
- Your wallet address now appears at the top: you're connected.
Bookmark the official address so you always come back to the right site.
Something looks different?
Platforms update their design. If a button isn't where you expect it, ask in the Discord server.
Coming up next
Funding your account
Moving your dollars to Hyperliquid.
Hyperliquid works with USDC, a digital dollar (1 USDC ≈ $1). Your funds need to arrive as USDC on the network the deposit page asks for.
- On Hyperliquid, open the Deposit screen.
- Read which asset and which network are supported — follow it exactly.
- Get USDC on that network (from an exchange or by bridging from another network).
- Send a small test amount first and wait until it appears on Hyperliquid.
- Once the test has arrived, send the rest.
Wrong network = lost funds
Sending on the wrong network is the most common costly mistake. Check twice.

Spot / Perps
Spot is for buying and owning. Perps is for leverage (long and short).
Market order
Buys or sells immediately at the current price. Simple, slightly more expensive.
Limit order
Buys or sells only at the price you choose. Can be cheaper, but may not be filled.
Leverage
The multiplier (x1, x3, x10…). You set it before opening a perps position.
TP / SL
Take Profit and Stop Loss: orders that close your position automatically at a gain or at a maximum loss.

Your first test trade
Practice with a tiny amount before anything real.
- Deposit a small amount (for example $20).
- On Spot, buy $10 of an asset with a market order.
- Find it in your balances.
- Sell it back.
- Check your balance: you've just seen fees in action.
That's it. You now know how to buy and sell — and you've done it without risking anything meaningful.

LGI Spot: the $10,000 start
Part 4 · LGI Spot
The heart of MV/Investment.
LGI Spot starts when you have $10,000 available. You split this capital across the assets of the daily book, and you own them.
Why $10,000?
It's the base of the program — the same starting point as the MV Portfolio on Home, so you can compare your results with ours.
Not there yet?
That's what LGI Leverage and Trend (Parts 5 and 6) can help with: growing your capital until you reach it.
Your Spot portfolio is your long-term base. You don't touch it for short-term trades.
Coming up next
Reading today's book
Every morning, one clear answer: what to hold.
- Open the LGI tab.
- Check the date of the Daily Book.
- Read Today's allocation: each asset and its percentage.
- Compare with Yesterday's allocation: has anything changed?
If nothing changed, there's nothing to do. Many days are like that — and that's a good thing.
Coming up next
Splitting your $10,000
Turning percentages into amounts.
Take today's book and apply the formula from Part 2 to each asset.
Example
Book: SOL 33% · BTC 20% · TSLA 20% · LINK 27%
SOL → $3,300
BTC → $2,000
TSLA → $2,000
LINK → $2,700
Total → $10,000 ✓
Write your amounts down before buying. It keeps you calm and avoids mistakes.
Coming up next
Buying your Spot positions
Step by step, one asset at a time.
- Make sure your $10,000 in USDC has arrived on your account.
- Open Spot.
- Choose the first asset of the book.
- Enter the amount in dollars you calculated.
- Confirm the order.
- Repeat for each asset of the book.
- Check your balances: they should match the book.
Small differences of a few dollars (fees, prices moving) are normal.

Stocks in the book
Tesla, MSTR and others — same place, same steps.
The book can include stocks like TSLA (Tesla) or MSTR (MicroStrategy) alongside crypto.
No broker needed
Hyperliquid has every asset LGI needs, stocks included. You don't need a separate broker or account.
Same steps
You buy a stock from the book exactly like a crypto asset: choose it, enter your amount, confirm.
One platform, one wallet, one routine — that's what keeps LGI simple.

Following the book day by day
What to do when the book changes.
A new asset appears
Buy it, with the percentage the book gives it.
An asset leaves the book
Sell it. The money goes back to the assets still in the book.
Only the percentages move
Your portfolio needs a small adjustment — see the next lesson.
Check the book once a day, at the same time if possible. It takes two minutes.
Coming up next
Rebalancing without overtrading
Staying close to the book, without paying fees for nothing.
Rebalancing means bringing each asset back to the percentage of the book. Prices move every day, so your portfolio naturally drifts.
- Look at the value of each position.
- Compare it with the book's percentage of your total.
- Adjust only when the difference is meaningful — tiny differences cost more in fees than they're worth.
Your reference
The MV Portfolio on Home follows the program to the letter. When in doubt about how often to adjust, compare with it or ask in Discord.

What leverage really is
Part 5 · LGI Leverage
Bigger positions, bigger results — in both directions.
With leverage, you open a position larger than the money you put in. The money you put in is your margin.
Example at x3
Margin $1,000 → position of $3,000.
Asset +10% → about +$300 (+30% on your margin).
Asset −10% → about −$300 (−30% on your margin).
Leverage multiplies everything: gains, losses and fees. That's why the LGI method caps it at x3.
Coming up next
Liquidation explained
The one thing you must understand before using leverage.
If the price moves against you too much, your margin is no longer enough and the platform closes your position automatically. That's liquidation — and the margin is lost.
Rough guide
At x3, a move of roughly 30% against you can liquidate the position.
At x10, roughly 10%.
In practice it happens a little earlier, because of fees and the platform's safety margin.
The platform shows your liquidation price before you confirm. Always look at it.
Coming up next
The LGI Leverage method
Independent from your Spot portfolio.
LGI Leverage follows the same book, but differently:
When
Only when a new position appears in the book (an asset that wasn't there yesterday).
How
You open a long on that asset with leverage — maximum x3.
Why
To grow your capital faster. The profits can then be moved into your Spot portfolio (lesson “From leverage to Spot”).
It's independent from Spot: you can do LGI Leverage without having $10,000 yet.
Coming up next
How much to put in
Position size is your first protection.
Never put all your capital into one leveraged position. Use only a part of it as margin, so that one bad trade can't wipe you out.
Leverage is a maximum
x3 is the limit, not a target. x2 or even x1 is perfectly fine if you prefer less risk.
Keep leverage money separate
The capital you use for leverage is separate from your Spot portfolio. Never take Spot money to open a leverage trade.
Coming up next
Isolated margin
Keep each position in its own box.
Isolated
Each position only uses its own margin. If it gets liquidated, the rest of your account is untouched.
Cross
All positions share your whole balance. One bad position can eat into everything.
For LGI Leverage and Trend, use Isolated. You can choose it on the perps screen before opening the position.
Coming up next
Opening an LGI Leverage position
Step by step.
- Check the LGI book: a new asset has appeared.
- On Hyperliquid, open Perps and choose that asset.
- Select Isolated margin.
- Set leverage to x3 or less.
- Choose Long and enter your margin amount.
- Look at the liquidation price shown.
- Add a Stop Loss if you use one.
- Confirm, then check the position under Positions.

Closing an LGI Leverage position
Knowing when to get out.
The asset leaves the book
The reason for the position is gone: close it.
Your target is reached
Taking profit is never a mistake. You can close all or part of it.
Your Stop Loss is hit
The position closes by itself. Accept it and move on — that's what it's for.
- Open Positions.
- Click Close (market) on the position.
- Log the result in Analytics.
Coming up next
From leverage to Spot
Turning short-term gains into long-term capital.
This is the whole point of LGI Leverage: gains made with leverage are moved into your Spot portfolio, where they grow with the book over the long term.
- Close a winning leverage position.
- Keep your original margin for the next opportunity.
- Move the profit to your Spot capital.
- Invest it following today's book.
Step by step, this is how members build (or grow beyond) their $10,000 Spot base.

What Trend is
Part 6 · Trend
Probabilities, not predictions.
Trend gives the likely direction of Bitcoin for the coming days, based on several indicators. When enough of them agree, a new alert is published.
Positive trend
The indicators point up: the probability favours a rising BTC.
Negative trend
The indicators point down: the probability favours a falling BTC.
Trend is educational data, not a guaranteed forecast. It can — and sometimes will — be wrong.
Coming up next
Reading a Trend alert
What to look at, in order.
- The direction in the title: positive or negative.
- The date: when the trend changed.
- The consensus: how many indicators agree (for example 6 ▲ · 0 ▼).
- The strength (ADX): the higher it is, the stronger the trend.
A strong consensus doesn't guarantee the outcome, but it tells you how clear the picture is.
Coming up next
The Trend method
Simple: follow the direction, wait for the result.
Positive trend
Open a long on BTC — maximum x10.
Negative trend
Open a short on BTC — maximum x10.
Then
Wait. The position stays open while the trend holds. When a new alert changes the direction, close it.
Trend is independent from LGI. It can be used to grow capital, which can then be moved into Spot, like LGI Leverage.
Coming up next
Understanding x10
The maximum — not the target.
Warning
At x10, a move of roughly 10% against you can liquidate the whole margin — and BTC can move 10% in a few days.
Lower is fine
x2, x3 or x5 give the trend more room to breathe. Many members start low and only increase with experience.
Small margin
Use only a small part of your capital as margin on a Trend trade.
Always a Stop Loss
Decide in advance the maximum you accept to lose, and set it before you walk away.
Coming up next
Opening a long on a positive trend
Step by step.
- A new positive Trend alert is published.
- On Hyperliquid, open Perps → BTC.
- Select Isolated margin.
- Choose your leverage (x10 maximum).
- Choose Long and enter your margin.
- Check the liquidation price.
- Set your Stop Loss (and Take Profit if you use one).
- Confirm and check it under Positions.
Coming up next
Opening a short on a negative trend
Earning when the market goes down.
A short makes money when the price falls. It's the mirror of a long.
- A new negative Trend alert is published.
- Open Perps → BTC, with Isolated margin.
- Choose your leverage (x10 maximum).
- Choose Short and enter your margin.
- Check the liquidation price — on a short, it's above the current price.
- Set your Stop Loss.
- Confirm.
Coming up next
Waiting for the result
The hardest part is doing nothing.
Once your position is open, the method is to wait for the result. Checking the price every five minutes won't change it — it will only push you into emotional decisions.
Close when
The trend flips (new alert), your Stop Loss is hit, or you've reached your target.
Then
Log the result in Analytics, whatever it is.
Coming up next
Stop Loss & Take Profit
Your safety net and your finish line.
Stop Loss
Closes the position automatically at the maximum loss you decided. It protects you from liquidation and from yourself.
Take Profit
Closes the position automatically once a gain is reached.
- Before confirming a position, decide both levels.
- Enter them in the TP/SL fields.
- Don't move your Stop Loss further away once the trade is open.
Coming up next
Fees & funding rates
Part 7 · Discipline
The small costs that add up.
Trading fees
Paid every time you open or close a position. Low on Hyperliquid, but frequent trading multiplies them.
Funding
On perps, longs and shorts pay each other a small funding fee at regular intervals. Holding a leveraged position for a long time has a cost — sometimes positive, sometimes negative.
Check the fees and the funding rate on the trading screen before opening a position you plan to hold for days.
Coming up next
Keeping everything separate
Three pockets, three purposes.
Spot
Your long-term base. Follows the book. Never used as margin.
LGI Leverage
Its own capital. Max x3. Profits go to Spot.
Trend
Its own capital. Max x10. Profits go to Spot.
If a leverage trade goes wrong, your Spot portfolio must stay untouched. That's what separation is for.
Coming up next
Managing your emotions
The market tests your patience more than your knowledge.
Don't chase
Missed an entry? Wait for the next book or the next alert. Another opportunity always comes.
Don't revenge-trade
After a loss, the urge to win it back fast leads to bigger losses. Step away.
Trust the method
Days of losses happen. Follow the plan, not your fear.
Coming up next
Logging every result
What gets measured gets better.
Every time you close a position — Spot, LGI Leverage or Trend — log the result in Analytics. Wins and losses.
Over time, your chart, your win rate and your best trades show you what works for you. Your total also feeds the Ranking.
Coming up next
Records & taxes
Track it for yourself — and for the tax office.
In many countries, gains on crypto and stocks can be taxable, and the rules differ everywhere.
Keep a record
Date, asset, amount, price, result. Hyperliquid also lets you see your trade history.
Ask a professional
This is educational, not tax advice. Check your local rules or ask an accountant.

- Log any closed result in Analytics.
That's the whole routine. Simple, repeated every day.
